St Augustines Centre is an ambitious private venture by Brighton & Hove based boutique design and build property development company, Roche Barrett Estates Ltd.
St Augustines has been given a new lease of life after being redundant and unloved for over 10 years and it has taken 3 years of hard work & great financial brinkmanship in order to realise the vision for this unique project.
St Augustines Centre is now a home for the Arts, Wellbeing & Spiritual sectors.
The project has been orchestrated to make full use of the newly created interconnecting spaces where parts of this beautiful building will be used for a cacophony of creative and wellbeing endeavours whilst another part can be used as a place of informal worship and centre for spiritual enlightenment and contemplation.
There will now be a series of cleverly designed spaces for Brighton & Hove community and business members to meet whilst there are also several smaller optimised community halls and a exhibition spaces for hire.
Halls and rooms for hire and or lease can accommodate an eclectic mix of activities and events such art exhibitions, book launches, yoga, Pilates, holistic massage therapy and treatment rooms, Tai Chi, Kung Fu, art classes, stress busting groups, meditation, reading groups, spiritual groups, counselling rooms, business and networking groups, amateur dramatics, ballet classes, flower arrangement, contemporary urban and traditional low noise dance classes, urban and classical spoken word events, bespoke boutique theatre productions as well as other community based leisure activities too numerous to mention.
Small low key wedding receptions and family functions rooms will also be available for hire within St Augustines Centre and these events will be composed and managed by our professional events management team.
St Augustine's Centre will also be blessed with a chill-out area in addition to being the HQ for Roche Barrett's orphanage based charity.
The central hub of the unique St Augustines Centre development will be the Artisan influenced Rough Diamond Cafe and lounge with free fibre optics Wi-Fi connectivity points in order to cater for the needs Brighton & Hove art lovers and business people as well as those who appreciate wholesome food and drinks in unique environment.
Over 90% of the furnishing, lighting and abstract artwork within the eclectic Rough Diamond Café has been up-cycled from St Augustines waste materials and other materials have been sustainably sourced.
The scheme is heavily influenced by the creative and performing arts and this is consistent throughout this unique community based development.
It’s also on the cards to be a major venue for events such as Brighton Festival & Fringe Festival.
